Vlog & Distribution
Working on a Vlog for Pennyshots! Waiting for Apple review for a new app called Neutral! Implementing stripe in Pageful! As well as continuing distribution on twitter for Pennyshots :)
Pennyshot Standups is a tool for humans building in public that lets you log project updates in short text and video format. Public standup posts will be hosted here publicly, for other builders to see what you are up to.
These are taken from the idea of standup meetings, a daily tradition among engineering teams that provides a quick update on progress and blockers. Think of this as a place to post your daily, solo standups for whatever it is you are building.
happy building

Today I put AppX on Pennyshots and wrote down the real story behind it: turning a plain-English idea into a working Expo + React Native app you can test on your phone. The product is live; the hard part now is distribution, not adding more features. Next I’m sharing AppX in a few founder directories and watching which message gets people to actually try building an app. If you’ve been sitting on a mobile idea, I’d love your feedback: https://appx.uz
After getting roasted by Marc Lou pretty hard on twitter, it made me reflect on the user value on Pennyshots. So I came up with a quick redesign and a newsletter. The idea now is that those posting the best and most consistent work on Pennyshots will be featured in the newsletter. And people who want to see up and coming founders will subscribe. And hopefully I can get paid for newsletter ads, that's the dream. Redesign launched! Any feedback is appreciated!
yesterday was a mad rush getting as many bugs sorted on verilock.online. we had until UTC 2359h before our submission was finalized. https://miniappscompetition.com/ hopefully we did alright, sounds like ~60 submissions this round. need to be top three to qualify for awards. regardless, a working product is live.
Launched a huge Deca refactor! And some general UI tweaks to the rest of pennyshots. Now onto marketting and distribution, which tbh are going to be my biggest blockers. Reaching out to indie devs on social media, talking to marketers, and making a build vlog. Wish me luck...
Pennyshots is now responsive for mobile! Mostly... Deca's AI has not been being used, so I need to fix that. After that, it will be onto filming demos.
Today I deployed deca to pennyshots. There was some delay getting it out because I needed to wall it off from stripe subscriptions. I'm now going to start really thoroughly testing deca, as well as try to start distributing it. More to come :)
Testing out this new blog site with the old design of one of my landing pages, I think it looks nice for a blogging site like this.
